Hello Flexible Learning Environment champions.
I have recently changed jobs. In my new job I want to create a map with peoples locations on. However for privacy sake I want this map to be only accessed by certain people and I would like to be able to print if off for display in a secure area.
Can anyone offer some assistance?
regards
Gillian

Hi Gillian,
You could try My Maps: http://maps.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=68480
I've not used it myself but it may have privacy settings tho I'm not sure if it's one you can get other ppl to add their info to.
there is also Frappr! map: http://www.frappr.com, but again, I'm not sure of the privacy settings.
Hi ho, just me again. I put it out there to my twitter network, and got these suggestions: http://www.scribblemap.com and Google Earth.
Another contact of mine said that there are lots, it just depends on what services you want it to have. Do you want to be the only one that contributes to it, or do you want users to be able to map there own points?
My god, you'll be sick of me! Just got another reply from someone in my network that you can leave googlemaps unpublished, and only seen if you actually point someone at it.
I'm sorry for being late with this info - have you already found a solution?
