LO Vs SO

Ok a learning object provides learning through interaction/activity and a social object is a topic, theme, area of interest that people interact/communicate about.

Example:

Learning Object:

Title: Where is the Party at? - Alcohol
Competency: 21251VIC - General Education for Adults
Education Level: Certificate II
Type: Digital
Cost: Free

Social Object: People may be interested in communicating about the consumption of alchol by teenagers. Therefore the social object would be "teenage drinking".

I hope I am on the right track??? What do you think???

Virtual Learning Environment Assignment

Have started a new job with a family and children services organisation. My role involves recruiting, assessing and training Foster Carers and Friends of Foster Carers.

My first impulse is to start a wiki where training modules can be accessed online. However I have used wikisbefore and thought I would use Moodle instead as I have limted experience with moodle. I also want it to be private.

Any other suggestions or feedback?

Has anyone else used moodle that could give me some tips?

Hello Flexible Learning Environment champions.

I have recently changed jobs. In my new job I want to create a map with peoples locations on. However for privacy sake I want this map to be only accessed by certain people and I would like to be able to print if off for display in a secure area.

Can anyone offer some assistance?
